Chinese Electric vehicle New Nio ET5 launched!

The new Nio ET5 was officially launched for the first time in China. It is powered by an electric motor with a maximum power of 489 horsepower (PS) and a battery capable of driving a maximum distance of more than 1,000 kilometers.

Power Performance of Nio ET5

The Nio ET5 is powered by two electric motors, divided into electric motors with a maximum power of 150 kW for the front wheels and 210 kW for the rear wheels. Provides a maximum power of 360 kW, or about 489 horsepower (PS), a maximum torque of 700 Newton – meters, can accelerate from 0-100 km / h in just 4.3 seconds.

The Nio ET5 battery is available in a variety of sizes. It starts with a 75 kWh Standard Range battery capable of driving approximately 550 kilometers per charge according to China’s CLTC test standards, while a 75 kWh Long Range battery offers a range of 700 kilometers. But if that’s not enough for usability, there is also an Ultralong Range up to 100 kWh that can drive more than 1,000 kilometers ever.

In terms of intelligent configuration, ET5 comes standard with 19 assisted driving functions and is equipped with the latest automatic driving technology NAD (NIO Autonomous Driving). Through the NIO super-sensing system Aquila and super-computing platform Adam, ET5 will gradually realize high-speed, urban, parking, Battery swap, and other scenes, safe and relaxing point-to-point autonomous driving experience throughout the whole process.

It should be pointed out that the complete function of NAD adopts the service subscription model of “monthly activation and monthly payment”, namely ADaaS (AD as a Service), the service fee is 680 yuan per month, and the service will be gradually provided after the completion of the development verification.

NIO and the innovative AR equipment company NREAL have jointly developed exclusive AR glasses, which can project a 6-meter viewing distance, equivalent to a 201-inch large screen; and also cooperated with NOLO to develop NIO VR Glasses, equipped with ultra-thin Pancake optical lenses, which can be realized Binocular 4K display.

The NIO charging and swapping ecology will also add color to ET5. It is said that ET5 users will enjoy life-long free battery swaps and other rights. According to the plan, in 2022, NIO will continue to deploy a charging and swapping service network. It plans to have more than 1,300 swap stations, 6000 supercharged piles, and 10,000 nationwide. Destination charging pile.

Nio stated that the ET5 will be available to customers from September 2022 onwards with a starting price of around 328,000 yuan or about 51,020.43 USD. It also plans to market in Norway, Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden, and Denmark as well.
