Jeep unveiled its first battery EV (electric vehicle) “Avenger 4×4 Concept” at the Paris Motor Show held in Paris, France on October 17.
The Jeep Avenger 4×4 concept, which expresses the new Avenger’s ‘condensed freedom’ philosophy, combines design, function, and innovation in a compact body. Eye-catching, fun, and distinctive, the new vehicle will join Jeep’s 4xe model line in the future. The Avenger 4×4 Concept is the ultimate expression of Jeep’s legendary electric-enhanced performance, delivering near-silent driving while delivering even greater off-road capability, fun, and freedom.
The Avenger 4×4 Concept exterior features tow hooks, wide fenders and tracks, and larger exposed aggressive tires. To further enhance the Avenger’s capabilities, over 200mm of ground clearance has improved the approach angle to 21 degrees, departure angle to 34 degrees, and break-over angle to 20 degrees. The front end features thicker cladding for added protection and additional built-in floodlights for improved visibility when driving at night.
It also features a new lightweight roof cargo system concept, with a special belt system that compresses cargo on the roof and provides anti-scratch protection along its entire length. In addition, the anti-reflection hood sticker and anti-scratch grill treatment make the package more secure when driving off-road.
The Avenger was designed as a Jeep vehicle from the beginning, and the all-electric 4×2 model already has the best-in-class performance that characterizes the Jeep brand. couldn’t help but wonder what would happen if we kept the Jeep brand’s unique design language, capability, and personality, but infused the Jeep brand’s electrified four-wheel drive into a compact package. In Paris, we will launch a new all-electric 4×4 Jeep with a clear goal of becoming the world’s number one electric SUV brand, on the road to achieving our mission of zero-emission freedom. It showed that we have a full portfolio of companies on the horizon.
