Mitsubishi XFC Concept is a compact SUV model developed specifically to fill the gap in the SUV market in the ASEAN region. It will be inferior in size to the current Outlander and Outlander PHEVs, with plans to start selling them by 2023, as well as to install an electric motor drive system to expand to other regions, which Mitsubishi expects. It also helps passengers feel safer. It also stands out with the driving information screen and the center screen that is linked as one. Up to 3 functions can be displayed simultaneously, such as navigation, and road surface conditions. and other information necessary for driving Mitsubishi also states that the XFC Concept is designed to have a spacious interior even in a small SUV. Especially the legroom for the rear passengers is abundant compared to the car in the same coordinates.
The front design of the Mitsubishi XFC Concept continues with the Dynamic Shield design concept that represents performance and occupants protection. It comes with an L-shaped headlamp coupled with Daytime Running Light at the lower end to give the headlamp a large T-shape, while the sidelines emphasize the toughness. Along with a set of tail lights designed in a T-shape as well, Mitsubishi says that this design will help the car look wider.
Mitsubishi hasn’t revealed any details about the powertrain of the XFC Concept, but it says there are four driving modes to choose from Normal, Wet, Gravel, and Mud, with Wet mode being developed for conditions. The weather and road conditions of the ASEAN region in particular will increase driving safety., especially in the case of accidentally driving through puddles on the road.
