The all-new Honda Civic TYPE R 2023 is equipped with a turbocharged 4-cylinder petrol engine, code K20C1, 2.0-liter capacity, maximum power of 315 horsepower (HP) at 6,500 rpm, maximum torque of 420 Nm (310 lb-ft) ft) at 2,600 – 4,000 rpm, an increase of 7 horsepower (HP) from the previous model, an increase of 20 Nm of torque, equivalent to a power ratio of 157.8 horsepower (HP) per 1-liter engine capacity from the original 153.3 horsepower per 1 liter.
The powertrain of the All-new Honda Civic TYPE R is a 6-speed manual transmission that has changed the flywheel to be lighter. As well as improving the operation of the Rev-match system to make the gear reduction more perfect. It also helps to increase stability while cornering as well. Comes with a Helical-type limited slip differential system to transfer power from the engine to the road with full control.
The new Honda Civic TYPE R platform has increased the wheelbase by 1.4 inches, making it the longest wheelbase in its class. Along with expanding the distance between the front wheels by 1 inch and the rear wheels by another 0.75 inches, increasing the stability of driving in straight lines better.
The exterior design is aerodynamically designed to allow for more downforce at high speeds. The body is 0.8-inches longer, 0.6-inches wider and 0.5-inches lower, and comes with 19-inch matte black lightweight alloy wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires with a width of 20 millimeters. To look like a “Reverse rim” so the tread can fully touch the road.
The interior continues to focus on the sport in full force. Whether it is decorated with red TYPE R around the seat or cabin carpet. and various parts Come with a new design aluminum gear knob. and the serial number plate on the console while the seats are covered with a suede-like material to help hold the occupants’ bodies both on the road and on the track.
In addition, the new Honda Civic TYPE R also comes with a driving information display designed specifically for the TYPE R model, highlighting a large tachometer with gear position. Along with the gearshift guide lights inspired by real racing cars as well.
The 9-inch touchscreen infotainment screen is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto wireless connectivity, along with a Bose Centerpoint audio system designed specifically for the cabin of the 11th Generation Civic. There is also a Honda LogR Performance Datalogger system that collects real-time driving data for the driver to use as a guideline for further self-improvement.
