The VW ID. Space Vizzion wants to show that large electric cars don’t always have to be SUVs. This is the information known so far about the price, trunk and range of the e-station wagon, which is to celebrate its market launch in 2023.
With the VW ID. Space Vizzion VW wants to make the station wagon with e-drive more palatable – we expect the production model for 2023. From the rear, the almost five-meter-long showpiece already looks pretty close to series production. Only at the front does Volkswagen venture a little more foresight and mount the LED headlights with a magical look.
VW ID. Space Vizzion Features
This refers to air openings directly on the headlights as well as in the bow, through which the airstream flows completely for the benefit of aerodynamics. Inside, too, the electric Passat counterpart shows a lot of grip – and, like all future electric cars from Wolfsburg, makes use of the advantages of the MEB architecture.
Since the entire drive technology disappears in the car floor, there is more space in the cabin. It is accordingly airy. Thanks to the 2.97 meter wheelbase, the space available is on a par with a Superb, whereby the 586 liter trunk looks almost modest. There is also a classy ambiance that takes the next step towards switchless operation with a small screen behind the steering wheel and a huge touchscreen in TV format. Even the center console is in the VW ID. Space Vizzion (2023) completely emptied, as the gear selector lever moves to the steering wheel.
PRICE, RANGE, TRUNK & MARKET LAUNCH OF THE VW ID. SPACE VIZZION (2023)
Least surprising is the electric drive of the VW ID. Space Vizzion (2023): Unlike the study, the production model will also be available with two electric motors (all-wheel drive). The drives: 132 kW (179 PS), 150 kW (204 PS), 225 kW (306 PS). The ID. Vizzion has a 210 kW electric motor on the rear axle.
If you do not take power consumption into account, you can whir to 100 km / h in around five seconds and accelerate further to a top speed of 175 km / h. If you take it a little more sensible, the 82 kWh battery capacity should be sufficient for a range of up to 700 kilometers. VW promises a short stop for the charging process: with 150 kW DC technology, it only takes half an hour from zero to 80 percent.
Interested parties: inside have to be patient: Production in Emden is not due to start until 2023. At the possible price of the VW ID. Space Vizzion (2023) cannot be said anything concrete at this early stage.
