- Skoda Auto on August 30 introduced the concept electric crossover Skoda Vision 7S – among other things, with this development, the Czech company shows the development vector of its corporate identity.
- Vision 7S is a full-size car with an overall length of 5016 mm and a wheelbase of 3075 mm. The landing formula of the salon is unusual – 2 + 1 + 2 + 2. A child seat is organized between the first and second rows, and the remaining six seats are full-fledged, for adults.
The Czechs take a look into the future with the Skoda Vision 7S (2022) – the future production model has a new design language, seven seats, and a further developed operating concept. The range is already known, the price not yet.

The Skoda Vision 7S (2022) is one of three electric models that Skoda plans to launch by 2026: a small car, a compact SUV and a large seven-seater. In addition, the brand would like to reposition itself, which means the biggest change since its affiliation with the VW Group. The SUV concept not only provides a glimpse of the new exterior, including the new logo and lettering, but also a glimpse of the newly designed interior.
Depending on the situation, it can be configured differently, offers a “relax mode” for charging breaks, and should be particularly intuitive to use. The passengers interact with the vehicle via a central, free-standing touchscreen and haptic buttons. When it comes to the choice of materials, Skoda relies on robust, leather-free covers that are largely produced sustainably. Recycled old tires are used as well as 100 percent recycled polyester yarns.
And the performance of the large, seven-seater electric SUV? Skoda has not revealed them yet, but the data on the charging technology has: The 89 kWh battery can be charged with a maximum charging capacity of 200 kW. The range should be more than 600 kilometers. We expect a choice between a twin-engine all-wheel drive and a single-engine option for the future production model.
The exterior is characterized by a short nose, a long cab, minimalistic plastic sidewalls, vertical headlights, T-shaped taillights, a styling imitation in place of a traditional radiator grille, and seven air intake slots in the lower part of the bumper. These design motifs will carry the next wave of Skoda cars.
Vision 7S is built on the MEB platform, which involves the use of pure electric power plants and, in principle, does not provide for internal combustion engines. The power of the electric motors is not specified, but they are powered by a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 89 kWh. The power reserve on one charge reaches 600 km.
In the cabin, there is a 14.6-inch tablet display of the media system. When the autopilot is activated, the rectangular steering wheel folds into the front panel, increasing the amount of space. At the same time, passengers can relax and watch movies. The wheels of the concept car are 22-inch, rear doors open against the move. Together with the car, the once again updated Skoda Auto logo debuted – it is now two-tone, green, and black.
Vision 7S will be reborn as a production model in 2026. The price is very likely at the higher end of the Skoda range. As Skoda itself explains, the brand not only wants to round off the product portfolio but also the “customer base upwards”.
