Maserati revealed a series of images of the convertible variant of the Maserati MC20 Convertible. The model was photographed undergoing tests in Modena with a special camouflage.
Last year, the Italian brand introduced its flagship, the Maserati MC20 Convertible . Now, the company has revealed a series of photographs of the new convertible version with a special cloud camouflage while conducting tests on the roads of Modena.
The model called as an ‘early prototype’ sports some design changes from the coupe, especially in the A-pillars, the roof line and the rear.
Although its tail was not revealed, from the top view you can notice the different structure of the roof , a new panel that replaces the rear windshield and a different design for the rear platform.

Apparently the aforementioned hides the roof recline mechanism , turning the mid-engine model into an exotic and elegant convertible. The brand claims that it is made of carbon fiber and other composite materials.
Under its hood will remain the center-mounted 3.0-liter biturbo V6 engine that generates 621 horsepower and 730 Nm of torque . In fact, it is capable of accelerating from or to 100 km / h in just 2.9 seconds and achieves a top speed of 325 km / h. On the other hand, the range will grow with the incorporation of a 100% electric version , following the brand’s electrification line.
Although at the moment the exact date of its official presentation is not known , but taking into account the advances revealed, the debut could take place early next year , along with the Grecale SUV.
