New 2022 Hyundai unveils sports crossover Kona N: 280 hp and aggressive design. Hyundai Motor Company today unveiled the all-new KONA N as well as its high-performance philosophy and ambition for sustainable driving fun at Hyundai N Day, a digital showcase dedicated to introducing Hyundai’s N Brand.

New 2022 Hyundai Kona n has expanded its line of N-series sports cars with the first crossover – the Kona N. Compared to the standard Kona, it has a powerful engine, a modified chassis, and an aggressive body kit.
The body kit includes original bumpers (front – with increased air intakes, rear – with a diffuser) and a developed rear spoiler. A new color has been proposed especially for this modification – the shade of blue Sonic Blue. The SUV is shod with R19 wheels, the external difference from the standard model is also an exhaust system with two tailpipes.
Additional reinforcements have been added to the body structure to increase torsional rigidity.
Inside the car there is a digital dashboard, head-up display, sports seats, paddle snifters, pedal pads.
The upper grille with a fanatical mesh incorporates both the N logo and the tinted chrome Hyundai emblem. Large double-wing roof spoiler for enhanced downforce, enabling a more stable ride at high speed for an SUV somatotype. At the lower fringe of the bumper, the N exclusive red accent skirts around the lower body. The 19-inch light-weighted forged wheels at all four corners create powerful visual aggression.

Under the hood of the Kona N, a 2.0-liter turbo engine with 280 hp is installed. (for a short time, its power can be increased to 290 hp), it works in combination with a two-disk 8-speed “robot”. Acceleration to 100 km / h is given to Kone N in 5.5 seconds.
The sports crossover also boasts an advanced stabilization system, a lane-keeping complex, collision avoidance when exiting a parking lot in reverse,
monitoring blind spots, and cruise control.
In Russia, Hyundai Kona has never been sold, and accordingly, we will not have a Kona N. An analog of this family in terms of dimensions is the Hyundai Creta, manufactured at a plant in St. Petersburg. Crete, however, does not and will not have a sports modification.
Hyundai Kona is sold in the European Union, South Korea, North America, Australia, and China. KONA N is not only the latest addition to Hyundai’s growing high-performance N lineup but is also the first N model with an SUV body style.
