Moving on to the mechanics, the MY2022 of the MX-5 now introduces the new suspension package with Kinematic Posture Control (KPC) technology , which analyzes in real time the difference in speed between the left and right rear wheel trying to act as a real differential and, therefore, limiting the loss of grip on the one in support of the curve to be tackled.
This system also intervenes during journeys at high speed by generating a braking force on the internal rear wheel: the purpose is to keep the car adherent to the ground and is also achieved under braking by means of a special “anti-lifting” force. which always acts at the rear.
Finally, for the Japanese market, the new Mazda MX-5 2022 will be available in the special 990S version , which identifies the total weight of the car in running order: the impressive result of just 990 kg was achieved through alloy components. light, including (for example) the 16 ”rims from Rays or the Brembo braking system with self-ventilated discs.
The engine delivery specifications have also been revised (1.5 Liters with 132 horsepower or the more powerful 2.0 Liters with 184 HP), which certainly make it more responsive and fun during sporty driving.
