Within less than two weeks from the release of the first information, the Skoda Fabia Monte Carlo was officially presented to the public: the fourth generation of the Bohemian sedan now welcomes its sportier and more aggressive version , whose name had already been introduced in 2011 for celebrate victories in the famous international rally competition.

The differences with the other trim levels (Ambition and Style) are perceptible both on the bodywork and inside the passenger compartment: outside, in fact, the Skoda Fabia Monte Carlo is characterized by the redesigned bumpers (front and rear) and by the black details that embellish the front grille, diffuser and alloy wheels (17 “or 18” Procyon), to which are added the specific badges on the wheel arches and tinted windows.

Inside, the aura of sportiness of the Skoda Fabia Monte Carlo is confirmed by the seats (obviously sporty) with integrated headrests and by the multifunction three-spoke steering wheel , which in the case of the version with DSG automatic transmission also features paddle shifts for gear shifting. . The upholstery is predominantly black and is finished with red details on the facia, around the center console and on the door handles. To these are added some elements in carbon-look , namely the armrests at the front and the lower part of the dashboard.

The digital equipment, on the other hand, is substantially the same as that already seen on the “normal” Fabia: the 10.25 “digital cockpit (with dedicated screens) and the Bolero infotainment with 8” touchscreen (optionally replaceable with the 9.2 ”Amundsen system ), including eSIM, OTA updates and navigator with real-time traffic and weather information.

No “surplus” of power, however, in terms of engines: the new Skoda Fabia Monte Carlo in fact proposes the same range of engines that we already know and which includes the 1.0 MPI 80 horsepower and the two 1.0 TSI 95 and 110 HP – the latter can be combined with the six-speed manual gearbox or as an alternative to the seven-speed dual-clutch DSG automatic.

The last touch of sportiness is finally given by the refinement of the MQB-A0 platform , stiffened with specific springs and with a lowered structure of 15 mm . Prices and availability? At the moment the Skoda brand has not made anything official, but we expect the Fabia Monte Carlo to be available in dealerships starting from the next spring months.
