Toyota Motor has released a promotional photo of the next-generation Toyota Sequoia full-size frame SUV. The teaser captures a fragment of the rear of the car – you can see the glazing element and the rear pillar of the body.
Already from these fragments it is clear that the Toyota Sequoia will have something in common with the exterior of the Land Cruiser 300 – a similar solution for the rear side window billowing upwards and the rear wing plastic.
Features of Toyota Sequoia
The basis of the new Sequoia is the frame platform of the latest generation Tundra full-size pickup truck, which went into production in 2021 . A range of engines will also be taken from it, that is, a 3.5-liter gasoline V6 with twin turbocharging (power – 389 hp, torque – 649 Nm) is expected, as well as the i-Force hybrid system, where an electric motor assists the internal combustion engine , the total power of the installation is 437 hp, the torque is 790 Nm. Gearbox – 10-speed “automatic”, drive – rear or full.
The presentation of the new Sequoia will take place within two months. The target market for this model is North America, in the outgoing generation of XK60 it is produced only in the USA. Recall that the Land Cruiser 300 is not sold in the States.
The current Toyota Sequoia XK60 has been in production since 2007 and measures 5.2m overall.
