The Thor Vision Vehicle is a Ford Transit based concept featuring a highly digitized interior and a battery powered powertrain with “range extender”.
The world of campers is also pushing hard on the accelerator to speed up the transition to electric: after the Sortimo proposal with the modification of the Mercedes EQV and the Winnebago e-RV Concept , now the “ball” passes into the hands of the American company Thor Motor Coach , which recently presented its most advanced vehicle prototype for holidays and long journeys.
Features of Thor Vision Vehicle
It is called Vision Vehicle and is in fact an evolution of the well-known Ford Transit characterized by an unprecedented hybrid powertrain with battery pack powered by a fuel cell, which allows you to reach an impressive maximum range of 482 km with a single charge. Its function, in fact, is that of a “ range extender ” to limit as much as possible any possible problem of energy availability when traveling.
In addition to this, the Thor Vision Vehicle offers an extra-luxury camper van equipment that first of all offers a fully digitized cockpit : the driver can manage all the vehicle’s functions through a multi-screen instrument panel, an infotainment with central display from the ‘wide diagonal and two other side projectors that take the place of the rear-view mirrors, reproducing the rear area filmed by the cameras.
Even the passenger area has been treated in detail, with fine finishes and lots of technology in Thor Vision Vehicle: the kitchen area, for example, is embellished with an additional ultra-wide display that also acts as a television and frosted glass windows , which make the climate on board welcoming in full respect of privacy.
